1. Majestico, Fly Golden Eagle, and Alabama Shakes @ Terminal 5

Last Thursday, the whole ATO crew rolled out to Terminal 5 to check out a bunch of our bands - including Majestico, who made their NYC debut (and totally killed it, congrats dudes!).

First up in back-to-back sets were Fly Golden Eagle and Majestico - both with their own take on Nashville psych-garage and a seriously infectious energy.

    Fly Golden Eagle

Next up was a pretty dope DJ set by Questlove, and somewhere in the venue this was going on:

Wait, is that a Mercedes covered in paint? Yup! I missed this, but apparently it was ‘live art’ by Mr. Brainwash, of Banksy’s “Exit Through The Gift Shop” fame. The show was the first stop on the Evolution Tour, sponsored by Mercedes Benz.

Last in the lineup was Alabama Shakes, playing to a completely packed house. As always, Brittany and the boys were fierce, soulful, and tore the place up.

All in all, a solid night of debuts and performances from ATO artists and friends. And speaking of debuts, don’t forget to stop by the Record Club store and scoop Majestico's record!

  2. ATO and Newport Folk Presents: Limited Release 7” Series

After years of creative collaboration, including performances by a whole slew of ATO artists at the legendary Newport Folk Festival, we here at ATO Records have teamed up with Newport Folk Presents to curate a series of small-batch, hand-packed 7” records featuring B-sides, unreleased material, and (of course) live recordings from the Newport Folk Festival.

The first release features two recordings that, until now, have never been released (!!!):

On the A-side is “Daniella”, one of the first songs ever written by Alynda Lee Segarra of Hurray for the Riff Raff, recorded exclusively for this pressing at the historic Electric Lady Studios in our home sweet home New York City.

Flip it over and let loose with a live version of Benjamin Booker's “Violent Shiver”, recorded in Austin, TX for Benjamin's Daytrotter session in March.

Grab a copy while you still can - quantities are limited, but you can get your hands on one at the festival this weekend (July 25-27) and here in the ATO Record Club. And don’t forget to keep your eyes peeled for the next release in the series!

  3. We’re proud to announce Majestico’s new album When Kingdom Come as the second ATO Record Club release. Order now at the ATO Record Club store. Check out the album trailer, as well as a stream of the first single “Love is God”.
